Journey from Da Nang’s coast to imperial Hue and Hoi An’s softly glowing heritage streets.
DAY 1: DA NANG ARRIVAL – COAST AND CITY
Upon arrival at Da Nang International Airport, meet your driver and begin a gentle introduction to this easy-going coastal destination.
Start at Da Nang's Pink Church, a French colonial landmark distinguished by its soft pastel facade. Continue towards the Son Tra Peninsula, where forested slopes meet the coastline and the city begins to feel a little further away.
At Linh Ung Pagoda, pause beneath the 67-metre Lady Buddha statue overlooking the East Sea. Beyond its panoramic setting, the pagoda offers a quieter perspective on Da Nang and the spiritual traditions that remain part of the city's everyday life.
Follow the coast past My Khe Beach before visiting the Marble Mountains. Walk through limestone caves, hillside pagodas and sheltered sanctuaries, with viewpoints that reveal how closely nature and belief are woven together here.
After dinner at a local restaurant, transfer to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the evening is yours to settle in and enjoy at leisure.

DAY 2: BA NA HILLS – DA NANG RIVERSIDE
After breakfast, travel into the mountains for Ba Na Hills. The cable car carries you above dense forest, waterfalls and changing layers of cloud - a scenic transition from Da Nang's coast to its cooler highlands.
Explore the French Village, where stone facades, flower gardens and open squares create an unexpected European-inspired setting. Take time to wander at your own pace, enjoy the mountain air and choose the corners that appeal to you most.
Continue to the Golden Bridge, held above the valley by two monumental stone hands. Its most rewarding moments often come between the photographs: mist moving across the slopes, shifting light and wide views over the surrounding mountains.
After a buffet lunch at Ba Na Hills, return to Da Nang and spend time along the Han River. See the Dragon Bridge, Han River Bridge and Love Bridge - contemporary landmarks that reflect the city's outward-looking character and relaxed evening rhythm.
Dinner is served at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the evening at leisure.

DAY 3: HERITAGE TRAIN TO HUE – IMPERIAL CITY
Begin the day aboard the heritage train from Da Nang to Hue. The railway curves along the Hai Van Pass, with the mountains on one side and the sea opening below - a slower and more evocative way to arrive in Vietnam's former imperial capital.
In Hue, visit Thien Mu Pagoda beside the Perfume River before continuing to the Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and once the political and ceremonial heart of the Nguyen Dynasty. Move through its gates, courtyards, temples and royal residences while tracing the layers of Vietnam's last imperial era.
After lunch, visit the Tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh. More intimate in scale than Hue's other royal tombs, it stands apart for its intricate mosaics and distinctive meeting of Vietnamese craftsmanship with European decorative influences.
Complete the afternoon at a traditional incense-making village. Rows of brightly coloured incense reveal a craft passed through generations, while a closer look shows the patience and handwork behind each bundle.
Dinner is served at a local restaurant before checking in to your hotel.

DAY 4: HUE – CAM THANH VILLAGE – HOI AN
Leave Hue and journey south towards Hoi An, stopping at Cam Thanh Water Coconut Village. Step into a traditional bamboo basket boat and glide through narrow waterways shaded by nipa palms, gaining a light-hearted glimpse of the fishing traditions that continue to shape local river life.
After lunch, continue to Hoi An Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site shaped by centuries of cultural exchange. Walk through lantern-lined lanes past old merchant houses, assembly halls and riverside cafes, noticing the details that have allowed the town's character to endure.
Visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, a compact but meaningful landmark reflecting the Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese communities once connected through this trading port.
As daylight softens, explore the Hoi An Night Market. Lanterns warm the streets, small stalls display local crafts and the riverfront takes on a slower evening pace - an inviting way to experience the town after dark.
Dinner is served at a local restaurant before checking in to your hotel.
